So I've been going to all the South 21s my whole life. I love this place. Independence is my favorite. I'll be back in a few weeks I'm sure. But the other day I came to jr. And I decided to get fried chicken and it had to be the worst I've ever had. Almost inedible. I didn't eat it. Absolutely no flavor in the breading at all and I think the chicken had been in the freezer for a very long time idk. Totally disappointed in that. Also I think the tater sauce has changed a little bit idk.

I love this place! I eat here about once a month or so and have for many years. Always friendly service and great food. The owners (Nick and Chris I believe) are awesome guys and always talk to me, recognizing repeat customers. Greeks just know how to run restaurants, period!

I have ordered take out here several times. I have enjoyed each meal. I have had the burger, club sandwich and the grilled chicken chef's salad. The salad was delicious and filling. All items were cooked to order and fresh. The staff is pretty friendly. I would highly recommend you give this gem a try!

Went here for lunch two days in a row. This place is super clean and the staff is extremely pleasant. I had a few questions and they were very polite and friendly. I'm a sucker for small businesses. The burger was bomb and the flounder tastes great. I will definitely be back.

We love this place. I always get the same thing - steak sandwich and onion rings. Decent size piece of steak, good flavor. Onion rings are just right. Not too thick or thin, right amount of batter, don't fall apart. Kid always gets cheeseburger special with fries. I can't believe I still haven't tried their shakes, so definitely next time.

Great lil place. Large menu. Everything is fresh and cooked to order. Really enjoyed having a simple cheese burger with onion rings. There is plenty of indoor seating. Free refills.

This is a nice and small local place and the baby of the original South 21 located on Independence. This place really reminds me of my childhood and has such a classic feel to it. The girl taking our order was nice and the manager or owner seemed to be a very nice man as well. A bad spot was on my tomato slice and he replaced it quickly with a fresh slice with no issues. The place was clean yet the floor could have used a sweep but I don't think the floor had dirt on it for very long. I got the ribeye steak sandwich plate which comes with onion rings and fries. I cannot say enough about their onion rings -- the best in the 704. The sauces appear to be house made as well, the honey mustard and ranch were great. All tasted and appeared to be very fresh. The veggies on the sandwich were hand cut and really made the sandwich pop. The ribeye wasn't overly greasy or too big for the bun which was great. Many times other joints give giant ribeyes and render the bun soggy and useless but not South 21! It was very easy to eat with no complaints, only praise. I love local restaurants like this and I am excited to return
